The filming of Samir's new documentary project has started. Together with Levin Vieth, he is following the stories of various people who all have something to say about this phenomenon of the "miraculous transformation of the working class into foreigners". The interviews are rolling, so are the cameras and we can be excited to see what Samir will uncover in this documentary.
Here is a short description:
«The SP and the trade unions shaped the Swiss working-class culture for over 100 years, but in the early 1970s many of these institutions collapsed in just a decade. Today, no one speaks of the working class anymore. And the term "worker" has become synonymous with "foreigner." How did this come about?»
→ to the filmOn 14 February 2023, filming began on Ali Al-Fatlawi's new feature film. After long preparations, the film crew is now in the swamps of Basra, Iraq and the first pictures are already in the can.
You can look forward to a magical story!
"In the endless swamps of southern Iraq lives the blind ferryman Ayoub. One day he meets a mysterious woman and falls for her. But no one believes him that she exists. When those closest to him also turn away from him, he commits a momentous act in his desperation."
→ to the filmA crowdfunding campaign is currently underway for the documentary film "HIRSCHFELD - Unknown Known" at https://wemakeit.com/projects/unbekannter-bekannter/pledge_steps/pledge
What we need the crowdfunding campaign for:
There are already many films and books about the Schauspielhaus Zürich in the German-speaking world. But surprisingly, there is still nothing about Hirschfeld in Switzerland. Of all people, a person who for 30 years played a decisive role in shaping the theater and thus the cultural life of Zurich.
We want to change this!
Thanks to the support we have received so far, as well as provisions in our fees and a lean budget, we were able to finance 70% of the required budget for the production through the Federal Office of Culture, the SRF and other sponsors.
So close to our goal, we don't want to admit defeat and hope to raise the missing 30% funding through this crowdfunding to finish the film this year.
As of now, 50% of our crowdfunding goal has already been raised! The campaign will run until February 20, 2023 and by then we hope to have reached our goal of 40'000.-.
The new animated series "Maëlys’ Mysteries" will be broadcast on SRF 2 on 27.12.2022 at 07:45AM. This is the premiere of little Maëlys and you can look forward to the adventures she has in store for you!
Here is a short description of the story:
«Maëlys is a little 10-year-old girl who loves to solve puzzles. With the help of her "best friend forever", Lucien, she is always ready to investigate to solve the mysteries she encounters.
Maëlys is always curious, attentive and not at all shy. Everything that seems suspicious to her means the beginning of a great adventure. This modern heroine lives in an average town and never misses an opportunity to discover her home and her heritage. Like a treasure hunt, her adventures are peppered with castles, museums, natural or tourist sites to explore. This is also an opportunity to discover new tastes (because she's a foodie) or unexpected animals (she loves them!).
"Maëlys’ Mysteries" offers children the opportunity to solve age-appropriate puzzles, but above all presents a friendship with which the young audience will easily identify.»
