The headstrong LILY (70) is in prison for illegally freeing animals. Her friend NAAJI is in detention, facing deportation to Pakistan — a blatant injustice! Lily must take action. She cleverly fakes a medical emergency and escapes from the hospital to rush to her friend’s aid. During her escape, she encounters MARIO (68), who, feeling lonely and despairing, is attempting to jump off a bridge. Lily can’t resist helping - which benefits Mario, and soon after, also the escaped pig “Blanche”. With both of her rescues in tow, Lily embarks on a turbulent 24 hours during which she will try absolutely everything to prevent losing Naaji. Driven by love, stubbornness and, if Lily is completely honest, a sense of guilt.
