The short, uncommented, technically impeccable, even brilliant short film was awarded the Golden Palm as the best work of its class at the 1963 Cannes Festival - ex aequo with "Le Haricot" by Edmond Séchan. In 12 restless minutes, enchanting metamorphoses of water flow into one another in a single, tortuous wave movement: the form of the film is derived from the essence of its object.
