KISS ON THE HAND ? A SWISS FAIRYTALE

The man who head nurse Klara finds half unconscious on the country road and admits to the community hospital of Münchenbuchsee is dirty and run-down. But his shirt is made of raw silk and wears the etiquette of a Parisian chemist, and when Sister Klara gives him the first syringe, he kisses her hand in gratitude. Who is Louis Arbalète, and why is he so interested in the only-standing sister Klara? ? A hardly known Novelle by Friedrich Glauser, as a modern fairy tale from the 1930s transposed into the present.
